Ever since I was a young boy, sport has played an important role in my life. From growing up on sidelines in rural Ireland watching my dad play Gaelic football, to participating in a wide range of sports myself. I thought to myself – “I want to play sport forever”. For me, organised sport has always been a great way to enjoy physical activity and to develop special friendships, some of which continue to blossom some 20 years later. Instead of grabbing the preservative- and additive-filled peanut butter cups at the convenience store, you can easily make your own at home using four simple ingredients. Give these babies a try—you won’t be disappointed.

6 oz dark chocolate, broken into pieces
6 oz milk chocolate, broken into pieces
12 tsp peanut butter
Coarse sea salt
Equipment: Mini cupcake pan with mini-size paper liners
How to make it 

Place liners in pan, and set aside.

Place milk and dark chocolate in separate glass containers. To melt, microwave on high in 30-second increments, stirring frequently until melted.

Recipe: How to Make Coconut Vanilla Whole-Wheat Waffles

There are healthy ways to cook this favorite breakfast fare. In this recipe, a 50:50 combination of whole-wheat flour to whole-wheat pastry flour is used to increase the whole grains. There’s also flax seed, coconut milk, and mango, which round out the healthy ingredients.

These waffles also freeze well. Make them ahead of time and place them in a freezer bag, separated by pieces of parchment paper until they’re ready to eat.
