A warming soup doesn’t need to take hours to make. This bowl of tomato deliciousness is rich in antioxidants like vitamin C and lycopene.

Pair it with a grilled chicken or turkey sandwich, or add leftover grains and cooked chicken to it in order to up the fiber and protein.

Johnson might even get to do it again, if there's a sequel to the film—screenwriters Damian Shannon and Mark Swift are already working on one.

In December 2015, Zach Bitter ran exactly 402.5 laps around the track at the Desert Solstice Invitational. At the end of the 100 miles, he had not only bested the previous American record by six-and-a-half minutes, but also maintained an astonishing seven-minute mile pace for almost the entirety of the 11 hours, 40 minutes, and 55 seconds.

What's even more surprising, though, is that Bitter trains and competes on almost no carbs. At times, carbs account for as little as 5% of his diet—and Bitter insists that even we non-endurance record-holders can do the same.

His medical history: Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, overweight, high waist circumference. His medications include Glyburide 2,5 mg twice a day, Metformin 850 mg three times a day, Irbesartan 300 mg once a day and amlodipine 10 mg once a day. His blood sugar levels are not well managed, and he has occasional hypos. In January 2017, I give him my little speech about changing his eating habits/reducing carbs. He replies that he’s not interested. Fair enough. So I stop his glyburide, and I prescribe Invokana 100 mg once daily, and then 300 mg once daily. And I send him to a diabetes educator, for traditional management and follow ups. Now we have a new one for the pile: A key ingredient in foods like kale and spinach can keep your brain performing like a younger person’s, according to a new study from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign shows. The scientists looked at the neural activity of 60 adults aged 25 to 45, and tested their levels of lutein, a type of antioxidant carotenoid known to support vision. (It's also found in high amounts in eggs and avocados.)

Poor guy.” That was when I noticed the car hood was open, and it did appear he had some troubles. Actually, I had seen immediately that he needed help, I but had not noticed his car. I had seen his belly. The man was not obese and maybe not even very overweight, but he had a very large waist. His arms seemed proportional to his height and to his legs which may have actually been thin. Yet his belly seemed extended, as if he had swallowed a water balloon and all of the water had settled right in the bottom front where it hung over his belt. If you were like most young guys in college, you had a couple of nights at a friend’s keg party or down at the local bar where you ended up waking up in the morning with little to no idea of how you made it into bed. Or why you were missing a tooth. Or where your pants were.

So yeah: Blacking out and losing memory is a regular occurrence when people drink to excess. But drinking while doing a memory exercise actually led to better recollection in a recent study from the University of Exeter in England.

For the study, scientists gathered 88 men and women accustomed to drinking alcohol—so, yes, a relatively tiny study—and put them into two groups that were both assigned to a word-learning task. One group could drink as much as they wanted, while the other was told not to drink anything. The following day, both groups met up and all did the same word-learning test—but those who imbibed the night before remembered more of what they had absorbed previously.
